Your search for energy you can’t suppress,
Looking for particles of light on waves.
A perfect quantum engine you possess,
Your search for energy you can’t suppress.
Entangled in the wet chaotic mess,
As light is trapped forever as your slaves.
Your search for energy you can’t suppress,
Looking for particles of light on waves.
This is a Triolet based on this piece of research by scientists at VU University in the Netherlands, who have been investigating evidence of quantum effects in photosynthesis. The precise mechanism for photosynthesis (the biological process whereby solar energy is stored as a fuel) is unknown, but the energy transfer that takes place cannot be described with classical (i.e. non-quantum) laws. The results of this research could have implications for improving the design and implementation of quantum computers.
