Gently humming in the autumnal breeze
Gliding overhead like a wicked dream
The black sheep of research, the UAV
Not spitting out fire or a laser beam
A large improvement on ground-based technique
Simply measuring if the air is clean
With an IR imager for a beak
The Global Hawk is beauty, not grotesque
So please now, let’s end all of the mystique
After all, drones don’t kill people unless
Told by the man behind the oval desk
Global Hawk 1 by U.S. Air Force (Photo credit: Bobbi Zapka)
